Collection: Rambo

Rescue Story: Rambo came to the Refuge from Southern Arkansas after his previous owner passed away. The family recognized they could not continue to provide the standard of care or space that a hyena requires. Turpentine Creek answered the call to provide rescue, and is now taking many measures to ensure Rambo has a life of sanctuary here at the Refuge. 

More about Rambo: Perhaps the most unique animal at the sanctuary, Rambo enjoys showing off his wide range of vocals. He has never appeared fearful of his big cat neighbors, merely providing them with an occasional once-over before going about his day gnawing on enrichment and taking in the scents.
