Rescue Story: Priscilla came to us as a result of the federal government’s request to assist with the seizure of 68 big cats in another state. TCWR President Tanya Smith, spent countless hours coordinating with the Department of Justice and members of the Big Cat Sanctuary Alliance, in order to facilitate the rescue. Months of silent preparation culminated in 3 days worth of boots-on-the-ground execution. During that time, a handful of TCWR team members were escorted by officers into the facility to assist with the mission. They then transported a number of the seized animals to additional accredited wildlife sanctuaries. Within days of her arrival to TCWR, Priscilla gave birth to 3 cubs; DOJ (pronounced Dodge) and Jinx, both males, & Rosie, a female.

 More about Priscilla: Priscilla is a very sassy cat. We can never be sure what happened to an animal before their rescue, but she is very aggressive towards men.  She has calmed down quite a bit over time and gained trust back in her keepers, but remains weary of them and makes sure to keep her distance.  She is an awesome tiger mom that raised three cubs (DOJ, Jinx, and Rosie) here at the refuge when she gave birth just 12 days after her arrival.
