Collection: Payson

Rescue Story: Payson came to TCWR from the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in Omaha, NE. The zoo, which had been her home for more than 11 years, made the difficult decision to re-home her in order to focus on their current species survival program and strengthen the genetic diversity of the Amur tiger subspecies.  After much debate and research, they reached out to us  knowing that we would be able to give her the same level of care and love that they had provided. Payson has settled nicely into life in Arkansas and is now happily chuffing at the team and eagerly partaking in enrichment at TCWR.

More about Payson: Payson likes to watch and interact with her neighbors, just as much as she enjoys stalking Animal Care Staff.  She favors cardboard boxes and will carry them around her habitat after she has finished destroying them for enrichment.
