Rescue Story: Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge was contacted by Ohio State Officials shortly before Christmas in 2015 about a 17-year-old, blind
bobcat in need of a home. After a lengthy correspondence, tons of paperwork and red tape, two staff members made the 1,500 mile round-trip to get
Bobby the Bobcat. Bobby was relinquished to the State of Ohio when his previous owner moved. Although we know little of Bobby’s past, we were
told that he was housed outside in a 10’ x 10’ enclosure, and had possibly lived with another bobcat at some point.

More about Bobby: Bobby enjoys spending his time napping, however, when he’s in a more lively mood he’ll play and rub on his enrichment
cardboard boxes that are scented with perfumes or spices.
